There are variations to this story, but the blueprint goes a little like this: 

A guy grows up in a privileged environment. Two generations ago, his grandfather was an oil magnate, or maybe a highly respected physician. One generation ago, his father built upon that reputation to serve in the state legislature, and eventually Congress. 

My son, Daniel, was born in June in South Korea. My wife, Ji-yeon and I aren't sure which country we'll end up raising him in, but I know I want him to have an Adventist upbringing.

When contacted by those who want to give you prominent space on their online magazine and give you a nifty title like "featured columnist," there's a strong temptation to talk about how much you "know."
